I didn't know that low-sec logistics were so strained that you are out of 5LY range for most of it!
It's not like deep-space transports are now boosted to carry well over 60k m3.
Yes, terrible news for low sec! |

Allison A'vani wrote:Grayscale, do you not remember that t2 ships cost 10x as much as they do now for this very reason?
T2 ships cost as much as they did because of T2 BPOs and monopolies.
When CCP nuked reprocessing and drones, I thought that morphite would go up to 40k again. But it did not. Why? Wormholes. And here you are making the same mistake, thinking that moongoo logistics were the reason why T2 mods and ships cost so much. You are underestimating inventions.
You see, I was around, before JF, before even carriers were common. And moongoo prices were not significantly different. Though Morphite was 40k, and Miner II were 3m ISK and moongoo was cheaper than it was at some later point. T2 BPO lottery just ended too.

Sov mechanics will be changing too. You are still thinking Dominion sov. That is going away.
Wormholes could become much more important lifelines to high sec than they currently are. Especially for some far flung regions.

How about multiple characters that can be deployed in multiple areas at the same time? Because that never happens.
JC is not a "bad thing". It already has a significant timer on it. CCP OK'ed multiboxing with 32 accounts, and here you are complaining about JC.

Sub-cap fleets again is all it is going to be. The people in smaller alliances with less time will be melted away due to not being able to logistically support their operation. Someone said it will be easier to defend ? Give me a break, you guys will get smashed by sub-cap fleets still. Once they have the area you have no hope of ever getting it again. The big alliances will get bigger and can stop supplies from the enemy in jumping down supplies by controlling the choke points. Yeah it's kinda ridiculous that to do logistics in deep null if you happen to be blocked by a regional gate that is over 5LY you can easily end up going from needing 3-4 cynos in your chain to 8-10. This is an absurd increase and maybe someone at CCP thinks this will drive up subscriptions as you now need 3 more accounts to cyno with but I think it is more likely people will just quit.
Wormholes! Find them, use them. They will get you around any gate camp and HED-GP.
I suspect CCP will be be stupid and will remap some distances and sprinkle NPC 0.0 making deep 0.0 more accessible.

Add static 0.0 to High Sec WH connections
Each 0.0 region should get a few static 0.0 to High Sec connections so even far flung regions remain accessible despite logistic interdiction at choke points. Without such connections, some regions could easily become "fortresses", unassailable as long as choke points are controlled. Smaller hostile forces, currently easily resupplied by a JF service, can become essentially marooned.
